Great idea!

I actually had a similar idea in 1998. I drafted plans for a website/company that would be a searchable database of the world's flora and fauna and include color photos, encyclopedic information, and games for kids. The problem I encountered was with gathering the photos and information because they were copyrighted materials and I didn't have money to license them.
